    Transfer speculation

Blackburn Rovers are reportedly interested in signing 25-year-old Adam Maher from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.

It's also reported that TM is looking to Europe for summer targets, good or bad?

It makes sense to me as there are bargains to be had compared to buying from EPL teams. Of course it still all depends on how effective your scouting and/or agent contacts are and, as I've said before, any incomings must suit our style of play.

Contrary to reports that TM is looking to Europe for new recruits Rovers have been linked with Everton's young striker Bassala Sambou.
    Is this Samba's cousin?

Sometimes the unknown can work out very well, however I am just a bit concerned at the moment that the well is dry and we are just taking a punt in the free market.

I didn't watch all today's playoff final but wasn't impressed with what I saw if Bauer.

    Other defenders linked -

    Jake Cooper, Millwall
    Semi Ajayi, Rotherham
Liam Lindsay and Ethan Pinnock both Barnsley

I don't know any of them?

I've seen Bauer numerous times now. And I'm unimpressed. The lad at Rotherham ...Ajayi.....not good enough. Another Ritchie Smallwood.

That I can see happening. It would need to be less than £5m though.
Reed won't make it in the Prem. So we need to try get him aswell. I don't think we need much else maybe a central defender & a CM to replace Smallwood.

I still think all this depends on who is going to leave.
Personally, I'm more concerned we will lose Lenihan before Dack. What will be a disaster is if someone comes in late for either, and we have no time to get a replacement. Plus if someone came in for Lenihan and offered upwards of £10m we'd listen. And probably sell. If we have a thought either will go, then it's a must we spend money on a replacement before we let either go. If we wait, then the players we go for will have inflated prices. Because they will all know we have money.
If both went, early then we could be looking at £20-25m as a budget. And that seriously has to be considered. We could end up being much stronger. We must be planning for both eventualities.
