I can be arsed when it comes to Europe although we'll probably be punted in the first week of August as per usual.

A Northern European team for the 1st Round will do nicely to get our limbs loose before the more tricker sides begin to enter in the later rounds.

I think it's much better entering in the 1st Round than like last year when we got a decent team and were punted straight away.

Having said that, with the names being mentioned as signings for next season, we might struggle to beat the likes of Connahs Quay...

Milne is apparently reporting the next goal for Aberdeen is to reach to Europa League Group stages.
Possible, but still a bit of a stretch given we’ll be unseeded in QR3 and QR4.

We’d need to beat one of the seeded teams in QR3 to take on their seeding for QR4.

I know it will be difficult but not necessarily as hard as you set out. We will certainly have to beat a top seeded team at some point but as the Q4 draw is before Q3 is played if one of your unseeded teams gets knocked out in Q3 then we would end up playing a team of a similar standing to us in Q4

Yes, meant to put in “likely”, as in we’d need to likely beat two of the above teams.
What odds on us beating a QR3 seeded side and being drawn against another unseeded winner from QR3 with our pairing coming from opposite half’s of the draw I.e. one of us takes the seeding (Partizan Belgrade and above) with the other being in the unseeded section I.e. Wolves and below?

We must bear in mind also that the draw has the propensity to give us awkward ties in Europe...

Only one season have we had a really nice draw under McInnes, the Fola Esch, Ventspils and Maribor season although that cheating Bulgarian ref didn't help us.

Maybe we're due a run of easier games like Sevco had last season....
