Ah, he’s not Jim Traynor. He’s the Euromeister.
Ok, in simple terms, the Tim’s and Huns doing well in Europe means UEFA (who seemingly don’t want teams from smaller leagues doing well in Europe and equally don’t want smaller teams in any European country doing well in their own leagues) will award them huge amounts of money. This means they will get stronger and stronger. Please explain how the uglies getting millions from UEFA will be better for us?
If we changed from the 11 who started last week it might be...
Cerny
Virtanen Devlin Vyner Hedges
Ferguson Campbell
Wright Anderson McLennan

Of course Virtanen is actually away on loan and Devlin is probably not fit, but I can't think of any other players we have who could play in those positions.
Absolute nonsense to say the longer they stay in then the better for us.
Of course the more games they have to play then it increases the likelihood of injuries and fatigue but countered against both teams getting millions more in their coffers, exposure and you're looking at a current duopoly stretching their legs even more against the other 10 teams.
As has been said already on this thread, both teams have squads good enough for two starting 11's and they can switch players with great ease with little to no detriment to their domestic results.
Look at it this way, both teams get knocked out before the group stages and they'll still romp the league but with millions less in the bank. Both teams get to the group stages and you've got both teams still 20 odd points ahead of the rest with millions more in their accounts.
Surely it's not hard to work out which one is better for the other ten teams???
The whole 'the scum being tired after europa' thing never helped us. I remember the odd occasion when the likes of Kilmarnock or Hamilton got one over them and 'tiredness' was the excuse given but I can't remember any times we've played them and benefited.
I read this a lot on here but I don't understand it. Yes we could've made administrational changes perhaps and remove their voting powers but what else?
We couldn't have changed the fact that they've 60,000 or 50,000 season ticket holders or the fact that they get more press than anyone else. We couldn't have changed their spending power and we couldn't have changed the fact that our club is content to remain in the shadow of Glasgow or the amateur (and many times embarrassing) way our club is run.
PSV come from a similar sized city as ourselves. They're stadium is in the heart of the city. They win their league title on a regular basis and make a proper fist of it in Europe. We don't....
Milne is quite happy with his challenger brand sitting 3rd or 4th and reaching domestic cup semi finals.
