He took a gamble but he had no time nor a proper scouting network behind him. I think it would have been a miracle if we made it up, but next season will be different. ST didn’t just ruin it, he gutted it from the core.
So what would you say to jjflup and me when we say the team can't string two passes together? What do you put that down to?

Yeah Robbie got a lot wrong today and deserves the flak for it. I believe though if he had been appointed at the start of the season instead of keeping that joker Laszlo and giving him a budget to spend on rubbish players we would have won the league.

emotions running high. understandable but abit of common sense required.

Neilson may have got it wrong today but lets not be overreacting with sacking him nonsense.

If we had him at start of season we would have went up automatic so he deserves to be backed in summer and give him opportunity to win league outright.

cant get my heid roond that one, should have kept left side as it was for a bit longer Robson doing ok....when he took Clark off should have then been for Smith maybe even Pawlett in behind Safranko
Sow and Pawlett did Ziltch again........I take that back they did miss pens

edited to say Neilson has to be given time to get in players he wants and who are ready from the start, took a gamble with certain players and it failed as they didn't inject anything of note to the teams performances especially when it mattered.

I had something nagging away in my head on Thursday that something wasnt right, and early in the game today, i turned round to the family and said, they were playing for penalties!

Done up like kippers, then RN thought it was in the bag at the end of play!

As for massed clearouts? Not this season! Cut out the last of the dead wood and add in where it is needed.

last line is spot on! no need for wholesale chances. just need to get rid of the dead wood who arent even involved then bring a few players to build on the squad we do have. in general the squad is decent enough but just needing a few of the bigger players to be more consistent come next season (Pawlett and Sow for example)

We need to get rid of the two central defenders, yes i know they have experience of football in the top flight but their mistakes today kept us in the Championship they have both seen better days and we would be very very lucky to get up with them in the side.

Thought the game was there for us if we could just convert a chance from open play.

Disappointed we couldn't raise another 10% throughout the team given the importance of the tie.

agree. ive not rated connolly since he came in. much prefer Bouhenna there. however Reynolds has been solid for months since he came in. he'll be Club captain next year. Reynolds has had his poor moments dont get me wrong but hes normally reliable.

Connollys fault for goal and was trying his best to get sent off or score an own goal.
