Thread: Player purchasing team not doing their job?

  1. #1

Player purchasing team not doing their job?

    thankfully not ours.

Having noticed in a BBC Sport article about the Wan-Bissaka transfer from Crystal Palace to Manc United that:
'...paying £45m up front, making Wan-Bissaka the club's fifth-biggest signing, behind Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Angel di Maria and Fred.'

I'm wondering how you could possibly describe any of those other four as having provided good value for their purchase price, never mind subsequent wages.

There isn’t an argument with that , however I think Utd have been managed badly for a long time now,

They should have stuck worth moyes and let Ferguson shape him intro Feefo 2

We don't spend enough to cock up, but when we do we end up with the odd "biggie" like Hart, Sordell, Wells, Vydra and Walters.

I'm still wondering why we signed Chris Long, Vossen and Henning as well, and you could add Juke, he was an a strange one, scored goals for every club he's played for, except when playing for us he couldn't hit a barn door from three feet.

I think Henning was a bit of a punt on the top scorer in the german 2nd division hoping we had unearthed a gem sometimes they work out mostly they don't but the rest have been poor at best with most being panic buys because we had been left empty handed with main targets. Vossen could have worked out if he had stayed.
