I would just like to add that I feel that Alan Johnston has made some quality signings.

He is clearly here for the long term, - (well two years is a long time in Scottish football.) Were he to be successful (and let's hope he is) and other teams come knocking at his door, - he'll not be quite so keen on walking away this time.

I have to agree Jardi as I thought he was too quick to leave us last without testing himself in the Championship first before going to the SPL. Hopefully he will be a great success with the Queens once again but at this higher level and would think twice before jumping ship after his experience.
On this subject when has a manager after leaving Queens been a long term success at the higher level? Would McIntyre qualify as being a long term success?

That's a good question Spike. Not many - if any- that have found the grass greener elsewhere.

The Standard today saying that Gary Oliver's move will bring him together again with former Morton man Michael Doyle. Let's hope that this is true and Doyle has committed himself to the club for another term.

Doyle is travelling home from Dubai today. Really hope he re-signs for us

Let's hope for a flurry of signings soon or we will not have a team never mind a squad for the season ahead. Most players should be back from their holidays by now so fingers crossed for some activity.

Falkirk after Durnan. A league down but probably higher wages.
