I think one import stat is that we didnt play well at all that day, Derby had 20 mins of gung ho attacking and it nearly paid off but you were nowhere before this, you scored while our best defender lay flat in the box leaving an extra man to slot home, had Tyrone been on his feet you probably wouldnt have scored, saying that had you fielded a proper GK he would have dealt with Super John McGinns header. So we would have still won 1-0, maybe.
Its all ifs and buts, But we won and all winners have to have a bit of luck, you guys had loads of Luck when you played Leeds!
I think had we really played well it may have been over a lot sooner.
Anyway, chin up you Rams, you will be up there next term as both Albion and Leeds will fall apart, again!
    Good luck and UTV.

You're right about luck Trianon and you had some at Wembley. I don't think (m)any Rams fans are bitter about it. We would have snatched your hand off last August at the promise of a Wembley defeat in the playoffs. It was supposed to be a transition season having brought the average age of the squad down from over 30 to 25 and expected to be lower still next season. Luck ebbs and flows and we did have a bit against the DYS, however, to win those games you have to be able to play in the first place and have the blood and guts not to give up.

Villa's first started with a blatant foul on Cole. Then Bogle got the wrong side of El Ghazi (or El G created that situation) and he dived for the ball and it richeted in off his shoulder blade. Not a skill many have

The second was Roos's rush of blood. When the keeper comes he has to make it his and he didn't. McGinn in the right place at the right time, keeper not where he should have been and it was simple for the lad. No fans blaming Roos at all, he kept us in a lot of games towards the end of the season and was one of the major reasons we scraped into the playoffs.

As you wrote, our goal might not have happened had Mings been upright so we both had a hand in all 3 goals. Rightly or wrongly, I got the impression that, had we managed an equaliser, we would have gone on to win. We didn't get it so we lost.

We both move on and hope to do better (us) next season as we lost to Fulham in the semi last year and you in the final this....... and you will be hoping for 17th place or better in the GIG League and then build from there.

No regrets. Simply happy we had a better season than most thought we would and we played a lot of good stuff as well.
