Doesn't mean its a farce they have a fitba team
There must have been an interest when they formed in 1974. They were elected into the HFL in 1985–86. If it was a farce to have a club in Fort William then why did the HFL let them in
These days more people want to play shinty. Does that mean they shouldn't have a fitba team. Does it f@ck
They almost went to the wall last summer. They battled through a truly horrific season and commendably did not scratch a game despite getting walloped every game. They then got deducted 10 points. Such a kick in the balls would have killed other clubs. They carried on. They had to play guys well into their 40s to field a team. They still plugged away. The stayed afloat and have now approached things differently. Fair play to them. They are attempting something different* to improve their fortunes. They have not broken any rules.
They have my utmost respect for still being around
'mon The Fort
*I hate the loan system in fitba for the record

Three favourites off to a flyer
Brora Huns 6-0 Fort William
Deveronvale 0-2 Nairn County
Fraserburgh 5-0 Wick Academy
Inverurie Loco Works 1-3 Buckie Bhoys
Keith 0-5 Formartine Utd
Lossiemouth 1-0 Huntly
Strathspey Thistle 2-0 Clachnacuddin
Turriff Utd 2-2 Rothes
Five nil the broch tims and the mighty Locos are derailed. Not a good start.
Good win for Buckie, got a few of the league winning players back from lengthy injuries, went down 1-0 then had a man sent off before getting their goals.
