Thread: Boris has his Collar Felt

There is absolutely no question that on tax, the poorest are much better off under the Tories than they were under Labour, millions more pay no tax at all, the rich pay more than they've ever done, while Labour's big idea was to scrap the 10p tax band.

That Socialist loon in France, Hollande, had the great idea of taxing the rich with draconian rates a few years back, the rich simply decamped elsewhere and took their wealth with them. The rates soon came back down, the rich returned with their wealth, the French having seen enough of lefty lunacy gave Hollande the boot, it's always the same, let the lefties loose on your economy and it soon enough ends in tears.
Your argument although though fatally flawed is totally irrelevant sinkov, because Boris is going to win and he is going to cancel tax for everyone except the very poor.

I'm on a jolly at the moment 59, so no time to point out the numerous errors in your post, just time to point out that, as so often you put words into my mouth, nowhere have I said that 'people paying 40% in tax are paying too much', and the top rate of tax is not 40% as you claim and I would suggest you read up on the Laffer Curve.

Have a good day mon ami.

It isn't an argument though BT, it's simply a statement of the facts as they stand on taxation. I do agree that it looks like Boris is going to win, my bet on him at 4/1 is looking good now.

Much preferable to being a satellite state of the EU though BT, when the Russians invade the Donald will persuade them to stop at Calais.

The more I look at that lot, the more persuasive the argument for Boris becomes. Boris as PM, Raab as No2, couple of gunboats off Zeebrugges and watch those EU monkeys fall into line. What could possibly go wrong ?
