    Is Ashley strapped for cash.

I think Ashley through some ill thought out and unsuccessful deals is short and medium term strapped for cash and he does like to have asurplus to hand to splash about at a whim. Therefor it bodes well to a sale of the club.

    I seriously hope so anyway.

    He's hardly skint.

But he has lost a fair bit of wealth in the last few years.

350M is a nice boost for him and there's unlikely to be a better time to cash in.

Yes when you think about it he must have felt he was almost infallible until recently when he's tried to mix it with the really big boys. He seems to be under the impression that they need him and his cash but Debenham's were quick to put him in his place.

Hence the sale and leaseback of his headquarters. I hope like he neglected due diligence on the purchase of N.U.F.C. he hasn't perused the sale and lease conditions of his H.Q. and the new owners can up the rent at will and make the bassard squirm.

High street shopping is dieing, so the value of his businesses has declined as well.

As Kal said though, he does own a fair bit of expensive property in London and the likes, so a lot of his wealth can be accounted into property as well as the businesses he owns or has shares in.

Regardless of his actual wealth lets hope he feels strapped so as to help push the take over through.

Fingers crossed Jammy, although I'm still very sceptical of it happening.

Although it feels a lot more promising this time.
