I can assure you my information isn’t from forums.
He said he tried to get Craig Brown to help with advice but doesn't actually say he tried to 'bring him in'. Craig Brown is an Aberdeen director - how was John Nelms going to 'bring him in' as a director of football for Dundee? It's against the rules to be a director of two clubs at the same time and he was never leaving Aberdeen - it didn't work out for various reasons and not simply because JN couldn't get him in. I believe he offered Jefferies to McCann and McCann knocked it back, how is that John Nelms' failure.

Judging by your username you're most likely an Arab, are you at the wind up?

Not on the wind up. Just saying what I know to be true. Brown is non-exec at Aberdeen so had chance to go to Dundee (although I agree he would never have gone but doesn’t hurt to ask).

McCann didn’t turn down Jeffries as he knew failure to getting someone experienced in would cost him his job which is exactly what happened a few weeks later.

No axe to grind with Nelms but he seems to have stumbled from one disaster to the next. Surprised so many are still on side but I suspect it’s because there’s no alternative. Similar to United when Mike Martin took over.

    I’ll leave it there 👍

I was a non exec at Dundee but had to sign a declaration stating I had no connection to any other club - otherwise I'd have been excluded from taking the position at Dundee. Exec or non exec you cannot be a director of two football clubs.

You'll leave it there because you're talking nonsense, you know you're talking nonsense and nobody's biting. Maybe look closer to home before criticising our owners? Goodbye.

I wasn’t suggesting he could do both roles, apologies if that wasn’t clear.

Not said anything to look for bites. This is the exact reason I rarely post on message boards. Can’t attempt to have a reasonable discussion. Won’t bother again.
