I agree Sam that Bruce dropped a clanger by leaking to the press what had happened with RM, it was a bungled attempt at saying to the squad that he's the boss around here. He could have handled it much better and whether or not it worked for Ross would not have been for the want of trying - I believe Bruce had a mandate to improve the discipline at the club, the first thing he said was the team wasn't fit etc. He's a decent championship manager and we were all backing him on the run-in last season, however he never has had a plan B & heaven only knows why he left the defence in the state it was.

Bongo, you can defend Bruce all you like but your forgetting all the excuses, blaming everyone bar himself, turning on the fans, playing his favourites, tactical nightmare, playing people out of postion, 3 left backs in defence plus hoof ball etc etc
He lost the dressing room, Deano made one signing and created an attacking team. Deano got us promoted and ive said it before, i will not forgive bruce for that excuse of a match in last years final. There was obviously something up at the club. Sending Elphick out on loan knowing you only have one half fit centre back is beyond stupid, its deliberate! The guys a clown!
And to back up what Sam said, Bruce abandoned Ross when he needed support, Bruce created the gate scandle and turned the fans on him and off himself.
He deserved that cabbage for his football, i stop short of any further abuse because he stayed while he lost his parents and that must have been dificult.
He is gone now and we ha e a whole hearted Manager who is super keen on getting this club back where it belongs.

With all respect Dave I'm not the one still bringing him up. I think 99.9% of villa fans are happy with Deano including me.
