Agreed and we should all be proud that he played for us in any way, he learned from us and indeed we should celebrate his achievement and the part Dundee United played in that.

Great goal for Scotland on Saturday,it must be so difficult to go from the high of a European Cup final to playing v Cyprus at a half empty Hampden but he still gave his all for his country as usual. The ultimate professional on and off the park. When Celtic tell you that you are not good enough and the next port of call is Queens Park its the end of the road for most young players eh?.
To have your dreams shattered by the club you support and have to go amateur would have broken a lot of young players but Robertson to his credit just got on with it and his boyhood heroes lost at least twenty million pounds in the process which is just the icing on the cake for me.
During Sevco's days in the fourth tier their fullbacks and wingers were having nightmares about the hooped shirt wizard running them FN ragged but they would not sign him because of his previous history and the team he supported as a boy and that was very much to the advantage of Dundee United.
