According to the BBC Sub it was going to start raining on Monday afternoon and it was going to rain all day Tuesday and all today. It finally arrived about 24 hours late on Tuesday afternoon and even this morning there were longish gaps in the rain, it was no more than showery.

We had a good three days thanks 59, the Donald bit is just a bit of fun, the EU bit is serious, it is a project inevitably doomed to failure, you can trust me on that.

Correct, however, I reckon that the strong north east wind delayed the onset and it was during the night on Tuesday when it started up here and it has been incessant ever since with some localised flooding. According to the forecast today, it may stop sometime in mid-afternoon --we shall see!
