Still a lot of double standards going on here and you are turning a blind eye to them all. Your god like politicians have made many remarks that warrant a sacking, but were they? No. One example, BoJo making that comment some time ago about just getting rid of Libyan dead bodies and it would be fine.. he got away with it.
As a poster said above that it all depends which side you lie politically which influence how serious you feel something is from whatever side. Bland was out of order, Boris was out of order and so many other people who have said stuff that was inappropriate.. many of you guys posting on this board will always fail to take a neutral view. That is a fact and you need to stop denying it. It is obvious your right wing views and siding with that side seem to cloud your judgement on matters like these and past events. Truth really does hurt, but you’ll continue to lie to yourself and have a go at me.

All comedians will sometimes make jokes that are inappropriate, this was one of those occasions. I like comedians that push to the limit but that inevitably means that sometimes they will go too far; Jo Brand should, on this occasion, admit that. Life would be exceedingly boring if everyone was always within ‘PC acceptability’. MickD would be locked up fo a start......!

Agree with you! Some could say she's attractive compared to Diane Abbott Beauty is within the eye of the beholder

I think political jokes are either seen as funny or not funny depending on your political leanings.
The left wing has some rabble rousers in its ranks yes, but right wingers do far more damage on a huge scale in comparison.
Young Adolf was a right winger and so was Maggie Thatcher.
One of them destroyed British industry and filled ordinary working people with dread and despair and the other lived in Germany.

    Morning all.
What a typical leftie view of the world. It's OK to associate Hitler with Thatcher and dismiss the left wing as some benign sounding 'rabble rousers.' So right wingers do far more damage on a huge scale in comparison' do they?! Well try telling that to cityzens of the USSR during Uncle Joe Stalin's reign, or a Chinese growing up with Chairman Mao or a Cambodian not growing up because of Pol Pot.
And Regis talks about double standards whilst only putting one side. Poor very poor.

As regards 'filling ordinary working people with dread and despair' as someone who was very much an ordinary working person in the 70's Maggie replaced my dread and despair with hope and expectation. I would think many ordinary working folk in the likes of Sunderland, Derby and Swindon share those sentiments.

On reflection i don't think it was fair of me to compare Thatcher with Hitler. Hitler was for all the German people not just those with money.

I am not left wing, i am middle of the road, but to right wing people anyone who doesn't put personal profit and self interest first are left wing.
Our new manager Slaven Bilic describes himself as a true socialist. A lot of the best managers were, Shankly, Clough, Ferguson etc.
It shows that not all people who have risen from poor backgrounds and made fame and fortune for themselves forget their backgrounds and sell their soul to the devil.

I have known people from council estates, get a womans job in an office, buy their own house and a nice car, and then think they are on the same wavelength as people in the house of lords.

There are an awful lot of Mrs Buckets out there.

My problem with the Labour Party can be summed up in one word, CORBYN. I am not so right wing that I can't see their faults and with a more moderate leader I would be prepared to give Labour a go as the Tories haven't covered themselves in glory in the recent past. Having said that, they will never ever get my vote with that Marxist and his henchmen in charge. I can't say fairer than that!

Sadly a lot of people take the stuff they read in billionaire owned newspapers as gospel.
They probably think the ruling classes are patriots too.
Their are a lot of frightened billionaires out there, and that little tW@t Gove is positively crapping himself.
    Good i say.

I'm off to Ascot next month I'll keep a look out for Socialist Fergie in the Silver Ring with me unles of course he decides to spread some of his £50 million amongst those in The Royal Enclosure. We must live in very different circles as I don't know anyone from Council Estates that are on the same wavelengths as a Lord. I would describe the vast majority of people who have followed that path as good folk who do a lot of good.

And in the real world don't all of us put ourselves first when it comes to profit and self interest.

As regards Hitler was for all Germans I don't think many German Jews would comply.

Are you suggesting Corbyn,McDonell and Momentum are not “Hard Left” Marxists Des and that it’s pure fiction made up by the press with a right leaning?

That’s just not credible and there’s plenty in the Labour Party and who have bailed out who hate Corbyn and his cronies and their treatment of more moderate MP’s and Jewish MP’s is terrible.

I’m not sure there’s anyone in that party now to possess the b o l l o x that Kinnock did in the mid 80’s when he fronted up to Derek Hatton and the Trotsky element infecting the party.

I hope you haven’t got much of a garden Des because one of Corbyn’s brilliant ideas is to tax gardens.

I remember some time ago and it probably is still the case now that members of this board didn’t have a positive thing to say about Etonians. Well well, let’s get BoJo in. Couldn't make it up.

What garden tax is this you are referring to Mick? Never heard of it, it sounds like a crazy idea.

Without Googling this Mick, can you tell me what the anti semitism complaint was about the labour party? What exactly was the offence? If you have to google this then that just says it all about what you read/watch. Just genuinely asking you Mick and not trying to pick an argument with you btw.

I don't know anyone on here that has said 'lets get BoJo in'

Your'e right about the Garden Tax it is a crazy idea. It's all part of a package that will for instance increase the tax paid by landlords. All very laudable you might think. What then happens is landlords put up rent to cover the extra cost. Landlords no worse off renters poorer. You might not like it but it's the way of the world.

I couldn't explain what the anti Semitism row is about but I do know if respected members of his own party are not at all happy there has to be something in it. Doesn't there?
