Thread: All Change!

"you have to depend on an MPs honour, decency and a sense of obligation to their constituents, but these are typical of today's politicians, they have none of those attributes. Which is why I, and many others, have nothing but contempt for our political class, of whichever party".

I will exempt about 100 Labour MP's from your otherwise spot on generalisation sinkov. I know you hate my graphics, but the more I see of the majority of MP's from across the political spectrum, I cannot get this image out of my mind...

In this case BT, your picture puts it far more succinctly than even me, with my grammar school education, could put it. It also illustrates precisely why the political class and establishment in this country are so distraught at the thought of us leaving the EU, and so desperate to keep us in.

You wouldn't by any chance have a picture of a gravy train would you, especially one showing passengers reluctant to get off it. ?

I actually believe Joe Public have seen the light. The Revolution is coming and it won't be pleasant!
Indeed I do hope that a Revolution is coming BT! By and large in this country Revolution has been achieved peacefully without armed insurrection. The most notable exception being the English Civil War in the 1640’s which decisively ended the Divine Right of Kings. The authority of Parliament was further enhanced by the Glorious Revolution of 1688. The present Brexit crisis following on from the expenses scandal has however seriously undermined the authority of Parliament and requires a new relationship to be forged between the electorate and MP’s. A thorough reform of our electoral system must be a first step in that process.
