The Wisbech manager quit because he said that he had taken the club as far as he could, the club had no money, and he worked full time anyway. They have appointed a bloke who had managed from the United Counties league which covers anglia and Northants, from the league below.

Wisbech will struggle again, which is part of any football fans fate anyway. United have called next season the "Next chapter", in an effort to garner a new start. It will be a new chapter of almost complete failure. Cambridge City play at Histon which isnt far, they have been shifted to the Isthmian north, among such football giants as Histon, Romford, Brentwood, and Soham.

Ill be going to Kings Lynn who are in the conference north, but mainly Wisbech, i might see a few City games. Am considering a trip to Bertesgaden in southern Germany, i drove past in many years ago, its mountains are spectacular.

I’m off of to Denmark late July to visit my sister and her family. Taking my eldest with me and she’s geet excited.

They live on an island just off of the mainland called Fano, an absolucally stunning place and if the weather is good there’s no better place in the world in summer.

Not bothered anboot the fitba tbf, can take it or leave it now a days.

Frank, have you given up on Utd now then? I know that I said that I was finished with Notts but I've got the feeling that I will find myself back down Meadow Lane now that the anger of last season has worn off,I just be a complete mug

Kel,I have never heard of Fano so I looked it up,how did your sister end up there,is is married to a Dane? The island is small but very beautiful and I would love to visit somewhere like that, make sure that you put up some photos to look at on here,it's great that you are taking your daughter with you as I'm sure that she will enjoy the experience

Aye, chalks, she married a Dane but he lived in Rochdale most of his life before they met. They decided to move over there as the way of life for their kids is unbelievable. My eldest niece now lives on the mainland in her own place and is so happy, much happier than if she was still in Rochdale.

The young ‘un has been a few times (more than me in fact) and she loves the place. I’ll stick some pics up if I remember, aye.

It's amazing how our lives pan out, there's no way that growing up in Rochdale as a child or young woman she could have forecast that she would spend her life living on a ten mile island off of the Danish coast,I know that she obviously likes it there but does she get lonely sometimes as the population can't be very big and she comes from a town outside of Manchester,it must have been massively different for her at first,it would be nice to see what it's like if you can remember the photos

Currently in Devon, having spent a week in Bath visiting our new granddaughter for the first time. Back tomorrow for a couple of days then back to Cumbria midweek. Mrsgriff took her pension early a couple of months ago so we’re able to get up and go just about when we want.

Got my season-ticket sorted for next season, first time as a senior. Paying less seems reasonable on account of all the garbage that’s served up at Brunton Park, and it gets me away from Mrsgriff for an afternoon. She can use up her daily word allocation on someone else for a change. On the pitch our chances are looking bleak. No contract longer than a year and trawling the lower divisions in Scotland for previously unspotted talent isn’t the way forward to my way of thinking. We’ll struggle, but who else is there up here?

Holidays? Off on a late August/early September trip to Skiathos for some sun and sand. The buckets o’ red are better and cheaper over there I’m told. I’ll probably have a couple of lagers too, but don’t tell Moorlad.

If you still feel that pull Chalky then go, the season isnt far away and you must be feeling excited. I dont want to rain on your parade, but div 2 is gross enough, but you are one lower. Reality will kick in pretty quick.

I have a tradition of seeing the first game no matter where it is, im not sure if i will keep that up. When im unsure of things i never make my mind up till the last second. In normal times i would have a season ticket and be longing for the season to begin, not now.
The board are negotiating a sale, so they say, weve had so many lies.

If we had taken our millions to the casino and put it on black we would have had more chance. The board are socialist, like Cambridge, you dont put socialists in charge of money and expect success.

They bragged that the biggest expense was the playing budget. What else is there?......I can tell you, its spending money on sh ite, and failed business projects. You dont put socialists in charge of any business.

If the owner and the board left id be back, not now, the season is doomed to failure. Weve had 25 years of horror. Something in me has broken, and im angry. Im 62, when can i expecxt any competence?, before i die?, i dont think so. Im not spending 400 nicker on more of the same.

Cambridge United are fired. The owner, Paul Barry has failed, he is a total failure, a to sser of the highest ranking. Now fcj off. He has cursed this club. Id rather watch Wisbech lose every game.

Coming back to you Chalky, and Griff, if its your bag, go. The weather wont change. Part of my personality type is that i expect to progress automatically in everything, maybe we all do. To feel stuck and hopeless is a reason to move on, or quit.

Things are going to get a lot worst at Notts before it will get better and promotion back up to the league is just a pipe dream, there's a lot going on behind closed doors at Meadow Lane that we don't know about and I doubt that it's good,Carlisle and Cambridge are in a far more stable state than us so count your blessings
Somebody gave me a bottle of bitter to try that was brewed literally next door to the ground and for some reason that sparked my wanting to put myself through another season of misery but not enough to shell out £340 on a season ticket, talking of beer I was in Newark the other day looking around a real ale shop and spotted a beer with rhubarb flavouring but was somewhat taken back when I got charged £8.50 for it, nevermind I shall give it to Sue as for some reason the people from Wakefield absolutely love Rhubarb which I can't fathom out, maybe Acido knows?
It's good to see you traveling the country Griff,Carlisle to Devon would have been a hell of a journey without the stop at Bath in the middle
