    I've always liked the Portuguese

My mate Joel, die hard Porto fan and Portuguese technical genius forwarded this nice news article to me.

They are naming a street in the Algarve in the town of Loulé after Wor Bobby.

A fitting tribute to the great man, god bless'um.

"Loulé council will be naming a street at the Vila Sol resort in Quarteira after English football legend Sir Bobby Robson, who coached FC Porto and Sporting in Portugal.

The plaque will be unveiled on Thursday, June 20 at 12 noon.

Aside from his long list of achievements as a footballer and coach, Sir Bobby Robson was also known for his charity work.

Having battled cancer himself five times before his death in 2009, he created the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation alongside his wife in 2008. The foundation raises money to fund the early detection and treatment of cancer, and clinical trials of anti-cancer drugs.

He was also a supporter of the Vila Sol golf tournament which has raised over €1 million for the Refúgio Aboim Ascenção children’s home in Faro throughout the last 16 years.

As a coach in Portugal, Robson enjoyed great success particularly during his spell at FC Porto, winning the Portuguese League and Super Cup twice and the Portuguese Cup once.
