BT : I think Israel would just concentrate on Hamas ,Hezbullah, and any more crazy ones.

That is any threat from the north (Hezbullah) ,from the east (Golan Heights ),from the south Hamas ,and maybe from the Sinai desert?

The US Navy, including the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Force in the Gulf of Oman, is also equipped with enough firepower to bring the Iranian navy and air force to heel. This would not be a great competition, if the US wanted to do it.

For once I am on Corbyn's side on this one. We need to establish the truth here and I simply can't give the USA the benefit of the doubt at the moment.

Without doubt Trump would like all countries to follow his lead and impose strict sanctions on Iran...and the USA have got previous in precipitating unrest in the Middle East.

Jeremy Hunt is practically dancing to Trumps tune and I feel very uncomfortable about it.

We need certain proof here before something serious happens and I'm sure we all remember Saddams weapons of mass destruction which never existed. Still, along with the USA we made a packet from the aftermath.

Just to test your theory to destruction 59, are you also claiming that, in it's desperation to start WW3 in the Middle East, the USA has now shot down one of it's own drones ?

We were having this discussion last night down the local, one of the group said Trump had it shot down just to say he was a big enough hero to not start WW3, by not retaliating. He definitely isn't that bright is he?

It's amazing what ideas a combination of good, honest, Bolton ale and TDS can put in a person's head BT. The fact is that Trump, fruitcake that he may be, has shown no propensity so far for throwing the US's military might around. He wants to bring Iran to heel by fighting an economic war, not a military one, I doubt it will work, but it's Iran itching to get the missiles flying, not the Donald.

Just on the drone, Iran says it was in their airspace, the Donald says it wasn't, as it's the Iranians who have recovered the wreckage, not the Yanks, although it's not definitive evidence, I might be more inclined to side with the mad mullahs on this one.

A little dangerous thought. If the Yanks lunch a missile it will show up on the radar of what Iran is using! If they have an aerial defence system like the S-400, they certainly have advanced radar systems.

The Yanks are on a battle ship in the Straits of Hormuz, the drone must be near the Iranian coast? On radar, its a rocket launched at Iran.

Plus the cost of this done and to lunch a rocket? No the Yanks would not shoot it down

Plus the electronic equipment inside it ? Now the Russians would want that !!! No! The Iranians shot it down!

( Latest on the Gaza border) Yesterday !! 20 fires break out in Israeli communities

Fires rage on as Gaza balloon terror intensifies
20 blazes break out in Israeli communities bordering the enclave; senior Hamas official warns Israel not to take steps that would risk the understandings reached between the two sides after last month's cross-border round of violence

Incendiary balloon attacks against Israeli Gaza Strip border communities intensified on Tuesday, with some 20 fires that broke out as a result of airborne devices launched from the Hamas controlled enclave.
A Gazan unit responsible for launching incendiary devices said in a statment it renewed its activities Tuesday as a result of 'Israeli violations of its arrangement with Hamas', referring to the earlier reducing of the Gaza electricity supply and the limiting the Strip's fishing perimeter, both on account of firebomb launches.

What are we doing for them?

Israel to build new sewage pipeline to divert waste from Gaza
For two years, the residents of Sderot and the rest of the Negev have been dealing with a grim environmental hazard: waste water from Gaza flowing into the region; the solution - a new underground sewage pipeline costing NIS 15 million - will trap the waste water and prevent contamination.
    and .....
Qatar on Monday announced it was sending a technical team to Israel and the Gaza Strip, in order to discuss the construction of a new power line that would alleviate the coastal enclave’s long standing electricity crisis.

its crazy we help them and they try to destroy

    Analysis:
Under terms of the 2015 nuclear deal, Iran agreed to have less than 300 kg (661 pounds) of uranium enriched to a maximum; by tomorrow the Islamic Republic will pass that threshold and officially break out of the atomic accord putting it within reach of an atomic bomb

As Iran prepares to surpass limits set by its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, each step it takes narrows the time the country's leaders would need to have enough highly enriched uranium for an atomic bomb - if they chose to build one. The United Nations says Iran has so far respected the deal's terms. But by Thursday, Iran says it will have over 300 kilograms (660 pounds) of low-enriched uranium in its possession, which would mean it had broken out of the atomic accord.

"Iran now takes a step which puts Europe and the other members of the deal in an even-tougher position."

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Israel has bombed nuclear facilities in Iraq and Syria in the past, and reportedly pushed for a similar strike in Iran prior to the 2015 deal.
