    Golfers spitting!

I love watching the four majors each year but this habit of spitting is getting worse especially with the Yanks....Koepka in particular.

Multiple spitting as well, two or three in short bursts.......completely unnecessary,is not like they’re breaking sweat.

You don’t see middle and long distance runners doing it,I run still despite my advancing years and I’ll bet I haven’t spit once in the last few years.

It’s almost like they’re trying to look cool and hard FFS.

Most of us can tell when a sportsman is about to gob so why the hell do the TV camera men stay focussed on them.

Use a tissue on a golf course for Christ’s sake.

My nans and my mum always told me spitting was disgusting.......they weren’t wrong.

    On a golf course though.....Jesus!

Totally correct Mickd. Play golf twice a week and luckily spitting not yet got down to our club level but you can imagine it won’t be long before it does. My grandson recently started playing and watches it on tv as well. What a bad example they are setting. Cut it out now please.

AND...breaking a club in anger, e.g. Patrick Reed. Disgraceful and dreadful for youngsters to see.

We had a chap at my golf club who got so frustrated last week that he threw his club into the canal which runs alongside the course. I'm sure that if I tried that, I'd probably miss!

There’s a story at a local club of a guy walking off the course, having thrown his bag into a lake over a par 3. He allegedly had hit 6 balls into the lake from the tee. The story goes that shortly afterwards, he was spotted wading in to the lake, and extracting his car keys from on of the pockets before returning bag to the water.
