As soon as that has passed it’ll then be a long wait for our first notable signing. So predictable WBA.

Your not wrong there and HRK will be applying ink to an extended contract! I would like to know where the Rondon and Dawson money will go when they are off in addition to further parachute payments... Pointless having a decent manager if he does not have the right tools!!!

PS - Livermore must be getting tired already at the thought of pre-season training 😂

Whilst I tend to agree with the sentiment that Bilic needs supporting financially in the transfer market I do think it is more about the quality of the moves rather than the money spent.

Remember over the last 2 seasons Sheffield United spent a total of just over £11 million on new players and also received just over £11 million from sales. Of course they managed to get promoted on those figures.

Fulham spent shed loads of money after promotion and looked a worse side after spending all that money.

The problem though is how good are our recruitment team? Don’t look very good to me and that is as much a worry as the amount of money we are, or aren’t, going to spend in my book. Hope Bilic has a strong voice when it comes to those decisions being made.

Completely agree, its about who and what we buy, not how much we spend.

Norwich and Sheff Utd spent peanuts compared to Stoke and Villa, they made shrewd buys and were managed well.

Our recruitment team and Bilic need to invest the money we do have shrewdly. I think Bilic is a decent manager so if he has the players we'll be up there again. If they get it wrong, we're going to be in the Championship for a while...

But WHEN does he keep the long suffering fans waiting no longer to see and hear him?
He was supposed to be here over the weekend, usually the press conference follows quickly.
