Do the financial restrictions also apply to Fosun, or just to our Chinamon.

I think it only applies to Chinese based companies,Fosun and the like are based in Hong Kong which gets around the ban, could be wrong .

The debt should have been re-paid by the person who took it out.

According to Matt Wilson at E&S we aren’t too worried about Mr Lai not being able to pay off his loan at the moment because we can borrow that amount from the Bank at more favourable rates!!! So we were paying Peace an above market rate for his loan and now doing the same to Lai!! Nice work if you can get it.

Obviously you can only borrow it once though so it will have an effect upon our ability to spend especially with reducing parachute payments. All in all a big storm seems to be brewing over the state of our club.

    Worrying times.
We all know Peace had little ambition for us, other than to keep us treading water in the Premier league until he found a buyer.
A lot of our fans assume that Peace saw Lai coming and sold him something far above it's value.
We cost more than Wolves, Villa and Blues put together. Even though we were in the prem at the time a club our size would be worth about £100m imo.
Lai didn't become a Billionaire before he was 40 by wasting money or paying twice the amount for anything he didn't want. He would have had solicitors, advisers and accountants poring over the fine details of the sale. He would know exactly what he was buying, make no mistake about that.
Since then he has shown little interest.
What was it that made Lai pay so much if he wasn't interested in the football club?
    Scary eh?
