Paterson won’t be here after Christmas let alone next season will he?

I still have hopes for Wisdom. If he’s fit again I’m surprised he hasn’t had a chance either at full back or in central defence. Was a good signing when first picked up by Clough(?) but possibly one of our worst second time around. He owes us something.

Agree about bringing in more than just Rooney. My point was that I don’t think we’ll be able to solve all the areas of weakness and we have to look longer term rather than short term panic buy. Having said that...another couple of proper signings alongside a Rooney with something to prove could still make things interesting.

RA I watch Wisdom for the U23 a couple of weeks ago he was terrible I know he's been injured and had a op. Just hope he's kept well away from the first team I've only seen him have one decent game since he came back and that was at left back and Lampard never picked h him again . If you don't train right you don't get picked with him

Completely appreciate you’ve seen more of him than me and know what you’re talking about.
For me he’s still only 26 and is big enough (6’ 1’’ I believe) and strong enough to take over the Keogh role where I think he played very successfully at RB Salzburg.
If it doesn’t work, fair enough, but confidence is massively important to all players and if we can kick start his career again then it’ll benefit everyone.
