    New Consortium

A consortium including Danish businessmen have shown an interest in Notts County as the club’s takeover saga took a fresh twist.

Chairman Alan Hardy was spotted taking the group on a tour of Meadow Lane today with the Magpies’ owner still entertaining further bids for the club that has been on the market since January.

It is understood two members of the group are from the company Football Radar which specialises in betting advice on matches.

Nottinghamshire Live understands that among the group looking around the club were chief operating officer Alexander Reedtz and his brother and CEO Christoffer.

Football Radar was created in 2010 and currently covers matches from more than 50 countries with the company hoping to become the “number one experts” on the game.
They have employed a team of highly-skilled analysts who scrutinize data and claim on their website that it helps their clients achieve “outstanding results”.

Their main headquarters are in London, but they also have offices in Liverpool and Bulgaria.

It is unclear whether the group will press ahead with their bid to buy Notts who are hoping to seal a takeover ahead of their next appearance in the High Court over an unpaid tax bill on July 10.

The news comes as Lilian Greenwood MP agreed to help anxious fans get answers about the club's future.

Ms Greenwood met with supporters at her office on Thursday and is seeking a meeting with Hardy.

The Labour MP for Nottingham South also plans to write to the Football Association and Nottingham City Council to gain further clarity regarding a proposed sale.

I'm still pinning my hopes on the Beckham link. I can't wait to welcome Sven back to Meadow Lane.

If he's talking to new parties at this late stage I'd hazard a guess the mythical South Africans and any other parties are nowhere near buying us.

    What a complete farce.

Just put us in administration and be done with.

It seems more and more likely that Hardy will still be the owner well into the new season. And even more likely that my season ticket money will be funding a nice new Bosch washer dryer.

Hardy can't afford to fund us, it's either a new owner, administration or winding up order.
The only true thing he said on his interview at Swindon was that he wouldn't be owner next season.

It seems DB7 is coming to save us. Riding in on his stunning white stallion, Qadbak.
