You really must try harder sinkov. I'll bet your Accrington Grammar School Report was jam packed with those words?
This is the problem you lefties continually have BT, when your vague statements, rhetoric and ideology come up against the hard facts. It was ever thus and always will be, it's why I said on another thread, you live in an Alice in Wonderland political world. We have a Tory Party disintegrating in front of our eyes, a government in melt-down, and the Labour Party continues it's love-in with anti-semites and runs at 20% in the polls. You're in trouble mon ami, and no mistake.

In my heart I want a left of centre Labour Prime Minister like Corbyn, but being the pragmatic sort I will settle for some photogenic middle right socialist who can get a Labour government back into power.

Bloody hell BT, I'm struggling to find a right-wing Tory, they're all to the left of Tony Blair nowadays, and you're talking about middle right socialists. Life was so much simpler when it was the blessed Margaret and Norman Tebbit on one side, Scargill, Foot and Benn on the other. You knew where you stood in those days, this lot are just taking the piss.

The delightfully named US Senator Debbie Dingell – has joined a roster of 19 legislators in cosponsoring H.R.2407 – Promoting Human Rights for Palestinian Children Living Under Israeli Military Occupation Act.

The bill was introduced on the House floor by U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum (D-MN) in April and was referred to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
In her introductory remarks, McCollum urged Congress to act on behalf of innocent Palestinian children brutalized by Israel’s military forces.
“Israel’s system of military detention of Palestinian children must be condemned and it must stop,” she said. “At a minimum, U.S. funding for this state-sponsored child abuse must be explicitly prohibited by law and fully monitored and enforced by the State Department. The detention and ill-treatment of Palestinian children is a cruel and intentional tactic of Israel’s military occupation. It is intended to terrorize, inflict fear and send an unmistakable message that Palestinian lives lack value.”

At last a US Senator will take ownership of this dreadful Human Rights debacle perpetrated on the weakest.

Lets just have this right now.

nobody here really gives a **** about Palestine or Jerusalem or Amman or Kabul. But hey if it serves your political leanings then jump on board.

I really couldn't give a toss if Jeremy is anti semetic or Boris has a problem with his feelings for Moslems or any other religion. Why - because they are icons of your political point scoring pleasure.

I lived in Israel for a year in the early 80's - it was a fine welcoming multi cultural country then. I visited back in January of this year. It is a fine multi cultural and diverse country. There are political and religious nutcases there as there are here. Cross the border into Syria and Egypt and there are equally fine and diverse countries.

The common thorn that divides all countries is Religion and Politics. People across the world want to party cooperate with each other and be happy. Politics and religion always pisses on the party.

Well said Casper!! My experience of dealing with and travelling to over 70 countries of the world.
Ordinary people being screwed by politics and religion just about hits the nail on the head.

I am afraid our Casper has not been reading posts when it comes to the Palestine issue.Perhaps I do not give a **** about Jerusalem or Amman or Kabul etc ,but I do care when my country is being threatened! When my very existence is threatened!!! Take the cities in England ,no you also do not care, Manchester, Newcastle etc ,but England is not under any threat nor its existence. Our great grandfathers etc went off to war ,1940's etc. They went because England ,was under threat, also like now, the people wanted to just party and co-operate with one another. But people have beliefs, they care about health, our planet, society etc ,and form political parties!!! But those that go into politics ,we find they have no moral characteristic, and there is nothing in the society and leadership which can control the behaviour and actions of these elite personal. Many when given that power they become corrupt. Religion too has its faults today, it has become dogmatic, the followers think ''my religion is the truth ,other religions are false !''The it has divided society into 'we and they'. So then if ordinary people are being screwed by politics and religion, its time for a REAL change, not just Labour,Tory,Labour ,Tory (and also not the L D's,) no changes there the system, still Capitalism and still Political voting!

If some imaginary idea, was that the Russian's ,were building some advance missile systems in Ireland, and English people had the fear of war etc. Would then young men then enlist into the forces ,or just want to party??

It's that sort of public apathy that is allowing "Concentration Camps" on the Mexican border and kids in Palestine being subjected to casual genocide. Real problems need serious people who will bear those responsibilities. Fortunately, I believe a new generation of politicians who actually give a flying phuck are on the cusp and the kids in Yemen, Gaza, El Paso and Syria might have a chance after all.

    BT:

....''and kids in Palestine being subjected to casual genocide''.

    ......'' I believe a new generation of politicians ''.

Oh dear ,not yet ,not in their world. Some of their leaders 'Hamas' brainwash this new generation to believe, ''that is your country ,these people have stolen it from us, we will fight, rip out their hearts and liberate or lands''
It is their leaders that constantly spread these lies! Where then is the new politician that will put into effect your ideas of wisdom?

In Yemen, its the same. How do poor people in the desert find cash to buy rockets and such weapons? Or which country donates to this resistance we are seeing? What leaders are telling them fire rockets on the Saudis? Take hold of the port of Hurghada, control Yemens imports. The the western media fires at us with millions of Yemenis are starving ,Saudis are hitting civilians etc etc. If the Houthis control the Red sea, ships from the east to Britain and Europe would have to pass South Africa.

Syria: How can a dictator Assad rule Syria differently now than before? He rules with a very strong Iron hand!!!!
