LOL, every media outlet that is now reporting the story as a headline is quoting the Guardian, including the Daily Mail. It is perfectly normal to report stories from trusted sources and specify the source. They will have attempted to independently verify. Do you realise how little news each newspaper would actually contain if they only reported on stories where they were the original source!? You seem to not understand journalism basics.

You're also criticising the BBC for running a headline story in the evening rather than waiting until the next morning like the rest of the media!? lol again. What sort of bizarre 'waiting your turn' journalism do you think the media companies should employ. Don't have a clue!

lol you shot yourself down there using the phrase "trusted sources"

The BBC is a publically funded broadcaster, it's not in competition with the tabloids.

It should check and verify ALL of it's sources and information before broadcast.

Recent events have shown that it doesn't do this.

Still it's a nice little haven for easily manipulated Guardian readers.

(waits for alter ego to chip in)

Are you not at all suspicious when somebody goes out of their way to record a conversation and then immediately contacts the Guardian, notorious for it's criticism of leaving the EU.If you think that is normal behaviour ,so be it.I rather think she had political motives, don't you?

Maybe IBS could write another sit-com, this time about the incident, now that he's been given scriptwriting advice from a few Millersmadsters on here (if bricklaying, share dealing, symphony composing, etc, duties permit). Don't forget - when vicar knocks on door, main character's trousers fall down. Actually, he might not be wearing any, so probably would be more suitable for after the "watershed"

Wrinkly is spot on when he says that the press would have run this story if it had involved Corbyn.

And some of the Labour supporters on here would have waaah and started their usual mantra about the 'mainstream media' having it in for them.

I can't help reflecting upon what a strange country we have become. Yesterday we were bombarded with 'man ejects trespasser from private event' and today we've had 'man in noisy argument with partner'.

Did we need to know? I didn't.

    Man has row with girlfriend.

Pretty weak, they'll have to do better than that.

The BBC buys 70,000 copies of The Guardian every year, they pretty much keep them going.

Also, previous BBC News employees like Peter Sissons have admitted they get their editorial line from The Guardian.

I frankly couldn't give a **** but the thread is utter nonsense as Sky news reported it before the BBC. It is just typical of what ALL types of media think the public should know about. I care what Johnson is going to do with the NHS and what his tax policy is not whether he had a barney with his girlfriend.

No we wouldn't. We would have said 'how is this news worthy?' as you rightly point out about yesterday's 'big' headline.

Only one person highlighted a complaint about the lefty trespasser. How many are complaining about press bias in this headline??

Talking of political motives anyone considered that she could be a mate of Jeremy's

Actually what was being questioned by some, including by several leading figures in the Tory party, was the over the top, violent method used for that ejection, not the reason for the ejection itself. Was this the government's "Short, sharp, shock" policy in action?

Maybe some of the cabinet ministers are moonlighting as dodgy night club bouncers...
