    Remember when they used to come round the streets on Sundays blowing their trumpets?
    Bloody awful, they only knew the one tune.

    And the street carnivals which would happen once a year in the Wednesbury area with some gays prancing around on the back of a truck.

    The lads from school who were in the Boys Brigade were a strange lot.

    They’d rather fumble with a penknife than a girls t I t s.

    I could never quite understand that.

    Scouts fro me...albeit didn’t last too long after the Girl Guides departed.
    Simple pleasures getting soaked under canvas and lighting fires.
