I can remember back in the day BT when Altham and Whinney Hill were top dogs, I was watching my mate playing for Altham, (I was nowhere near that level) in the first game of the season, it seems impossible, incredible now, but playing alongside him for Altham was a young lad who'd just been released by Manchester City.

Millwall fan Rod Liddle has grown to like the competition and come up with an explanation for the Cameroon ladies appalling behaviour. In fact it's so bleedin obvious I don't know why I never thought of it myself.

"But it’s true I’ve altered my position a little on the ladies’ football, having enjoyed the tournament so far. The quality of football has improved a bit, although it is still largely lamentable; and there is excitement aplenty and moments of great hilarity. I particularly enjoyed the epic temper strops from the Cameroonian team. My guess is that they must have all had the painters in — and I was surprised that the BBC commentating team failed to advance this possible explanation for their appalling behaviour."
