I was recalling the betting scandal that Semple was involved in whilst at Ross County....

Is there an on going problem with Semple. Can’t believe the weight difference in the lad since we first signed him last season. He’s really struggling to shift the weight despite being back for 5 months now. He played against Dunfermline last week but in all honesty he struggled.

He is not likely to get into central defence even if he does shift the weight as Brownlie and Kilday are a decent partnership imo.

I’ve just read elsewhere Kilday went off injured early doors and was replace by Semple. Big Semps had a nightmare and had to be substituted himself. We’re now playing Holt at CB.
    That’s quite embarrassing for Callum.

    Solid as a rock.

I seem to remember you defending the signing of a clearly unfit player at the start of the season MUG. What’s your thoughts now ?

Most of us were delighted when Semple signed for us this season. Who would have thought by the end of November he is still nowhere like being fit ☹️

With Semple clearly out of condition and nowhere near fit what was he doing on the bench in the first place? He has had enough time to get himself to playing weight and fitness so unless there is some underlying issues with the lad then there is no real excuse for this which is hurting the club.

Quite simply, he should get fit or get out. No football club should carry a player who refuses to get himself out of condition.

I hope he’s not suffering mentally as if he does he needs support and not fans shouting verbal abuse at him. It’s a real shame to see the difference in him since 12 months ago.
