I'm quite optimistic that this guy might do well with us. The reports suggest he might be another JCH in his attitude and he doesn't sound like a Warne "human being" type guy.
But a goal every 3 games or better and it won't matter.
Not sure whether his recruitment policy has changed, but perhaps there has been some straight talking between chairman and manager since last season. I reckon it wasn't only the fans who were disappointed in the lack of recruitment in January. You could tell by body language and demeanour that the management team and players were, lets say, not all that happy that we did not strengthen.
Given that the one we did get looks a good signing and we have a new recruitment team then perhaps there is a concerted effort by all concerned to put things right this season. We obviously do not know the details, but you would have thought that if we were up against Sunderland and Portsmouth for a player then we would have been second choice at best. Time will tell, but at the moment its a welcome Freddy and good luck lad.
