Might as well pack it in

What is the point if we refuse to show a tiny bit of ambition?

Heh, no player is bigger than the team , in the last year of their contract if they won’t sign a new one then they must go. Policy has changed now we are signing players to 4 years plus 1 , so if and when they have a great second season then they still have two to three years left, not like the old 2 to 3 year deals in the past,
This club is moving forward, putting plans in place for a brighter future, but let’s not forget we are still a selling club if we need to be.
    Up the Reds

We are moving forward by not making the same contract mistakes as before , how frustrating was it to see our players sign a 2year deal and then after a half decent season like Pinnock, his head gets turned by more cash no matter who the team is, so we have to sell or let him go for nothing later.
Now we have 4-5 years so either sell for plenty or refuse. That’s the progress,
Let’s not forget though all teams including every top prem side are selling clubs if price is right , so why think we are any different.
But this should mean bigger transfers, if not , then you can be upset.

He's right Jack. We should just pack it in, scrap the leagues and all follow Man City or Liverpool or another of the top 6 Perm teams because they're the only ones that will do anything worth a damn, right?

The new policy is sign on a four year deal and, if they develop well, sell after two years.

We seem to be building in a two year cycle of stock up with youngsters, develop them for other clubs, and the sell on at roughly the same time.
