To be honest I think it's because PL clubs are buying them Exile .
Pompey's Matt Clarke who in my opinion was no better than Pinnock went to Brighton for £4.8m .
Mawson went for £6.5m to Swansea who were a PL club at the time , played about 4 championship games for us if memory serves me right .
Clubs seem to rinse a bit more out of PL clubs .
