Your suffering as a County fan.

This note may be regarded as a joke by some but it isnt. For a club of your stature to be in non league is tragic, and the suffering you must have gone through last season must have been a trauma.
Likewise, Cambridges NINE years in non league, the loss of our ground, coupled with a total inadequacy of our board last season which in normal days, would have seen us liquidated, save for a benefactor somewhere.

The tendrils of suffering are truly genius in their ability to get you in the softest, and most vulnerable spots. It seems like pain has a guidance system. Just think of your own life, what part of it has not served you pain in spades, not only spiritually, which is the worst, but physically? And yet the worst is to come....suffering, pain, and death, you will be separated from everything you know and love.

Statues are a work of beauty, having been carved by a genius with a hammer and chisel. Friction can create a masterpiece. And so it is with you, this friction, or suffering, will create something better, not on the pitch , but in you. To accept the loving gift of pain will mean you will transcend it, all you have to do is accept it. This applies to everything, not just football.

British archaeologists have solved the mystery over some ancient pieces of woven copper-alloy wires, that were unearthed at a Medieval monastery.

Found at Rufford Abbey, Nottinghamshire, the braided-together length of copper wire, turned to be part of a whip or cat-o-nine-tail extensively used by Notts County fans both for self-flagellation, and for a less painful experience than that consistently endured by the faithful

According to Nottinghamshire County Council, the true meaning of the wire was realised after comparing it with a similar metal scourge found behind the Meadow Lane Family Stand
