I dont think there are many supporters who like this feed the defenders to punt it. If Reynolds had a better partner, i may change my mind on that, but i doubt we could find someone good enough.

everyone has a opinion on sow, robson, 442 vs 4231 etc but for me there are 2 massive issues that are still causing us the most problems, putting us under pressure, and resulting in us being camped in our own half.

    1) poor distribution from the CBs giving it directly away to an opposition forward

    2) lack of ability to take the ball in midfield from the defence, when distribution is ok, and keep it, make some passes, push the team up the park

The area between the 18 yard box and centre circle is causing us so many problems and totally dictating the pattern of matches, has been since last season. And I don’t think it’s down to the quality of players we have available in midfield, all of which could easily get games in the SPL.

Not saying they are very good but not as bad as you and others try and make out either, we are still in the market for a cb aswell

Can't see posters saying that about Robson bte, bizarre if so as he played well second half of season too, another who improved since Neilson has been here along with McMullan
Fair enough mate i have probably been too critical of our centre halves. What i will say about Connolly is he is in a very privileged position being paid for doing something most of us love to do for free or even pay to play. The problem with him is he does not appear to enjoy his job,its fair to say that he is constantly on edge and either does not want the ball or cant wait to get rid of it which does the rest of his team mates and the supporters no good whatsoever.

I don't agree with that assessment of Connolly. He has his weaknesses, no doubt, but taking responsibility is definitely not one of them.

I agree I think Connolly is brave at times to the point of stupidity and plays sometimes with heart rather than head. He would have been brilliant next to Andy Webster! Lack of lots of things but not any lack of passion or trying 100%. And we dont generally lose many goals since Seigrist/Reynolds/Connolly became a unit. Not a coincidence. Defence and DM would be greatly helped by front 4 pushing other teams back further....
