    An experienced spine ....

That's something that needed addressing after last season. We got bullied in numerous games last season. Both games vrs Sheff Utd. We lost the battle.
We where also nieve at times, and lacked that bit of professionalism. Clever hounding of the ref. When to go down and get a foul. When to kill time.

But I always feel you need an experienced backbone.
I see we are looking to add an experienced keeper now. And I also now see we are looking at Scott Dann. Who would be alot better than Hanley.
An experienced keeper, an experienced Centre half. Johnson in mid, with Downing. And Graham up front.
The younger flair players to be played around them. I feel an experienced backbone is what we lacked lsstxsesso . And wasn't addressed.

I doubt that Scott Dann would want to step down to the Championship, but I suppose it's possible after his serious injury.
Another with a big salary, I imagine.

We are supposedly tracking him. He plays the left side of the centre back pairing. Lenihan if you noticed always played right. Hanley played right aswell.
He will be on good wages, but maybe we can do a deal.

Yes, an experienced spine has been lacking and would make a world if difference.
