Dan Jones is on trial with you?

If the charge is impersonating a left back, the guilty verdict should be unanimous.

Thought he was really good in 17/18( including THAT tackle). But like the rest of the squad started last season like he’d been in the pub all summer and never recovered.

... sorry ncfcog, you're completely wrong. I've been watching Notts since 1956 and he's the finest Left Back, equal to any of the very best, we've ever had. He closes down wingers to the point they either switch wings or disappear from the game. Consequently, I can't remember ever seeing a winger get in a cross. He is also versatile and can stand in as a CB, no problem. He also has a wicked, swerving left foot shot and this has never been exploited by our various inept managers. If only we could put him on a 6 year contract. His only downside is his stupid hair cut.

I think he turned out for Salford in a friendly the other night, unless that was another Dan Jones.

I always thought he might make a decent left midfielder myself.

One of those rare players to have two mediocre spells at Notts. Also one of those players who is 6 ft 2 except when he jumps - when he becomes 5 ft 8.
