    Immigrating

Would you immigrate to another country if you had a chance to, also what would your reasons be i.e better weather, work, family, etc? And what country or city would be your favourite place to live.

    Asking for a friend.

It's a big deal and it can be tough.

I would say if you can get contract / visa go work there first. Living and working somewhere is a whole different deal to visiting.

I have no regrets now but there have been what have i done moments along the way. Check out the local health care situation too - the national health service has been raped year on year but it's still free so get any dental work done too while you can.

Keep an eye on exchange rates too.

    Quite a wide question.
I've never immigrated as such but lived in a few countries for a few years as an expatriate on secondment.

I think it really is a personal choice as to what their preferences are and what they are looking for

The EU isn't a country. If it was it would have its own football team.

    My precious union.

Well, I'm nae supporting Team GB and the cowardly Scots should have given up their right to a seperate football team ages ago.

No it doesn't. The European team in the Ryder cup represents all the countries in Europe, not just the ones in the EU.

Well I don't pay that much attention to golf (penfolds etc.) but what do we do, let someone from Switzerland join in?
