The club are being linked with Christian Ilic a 22 year old defender who was with Romanian Club Sepsi. The Romanian club can no longer afford him and have ripped up his contract. Motherwell are waiting to make sure he is a free agent and are willing to offer him a one year deal. Club to verify Ilic is free agent to prevent getting hit with any future transfer fee

He seems to be pretty versatile which boosts the squad but there's a jack of all trades fear...we'll see.

Could have gotten Shankland. Thought he’d have gone onto a better stage than the same league he was already in.

I'll be amazed if we don't bring in another striker before the window closes.

Superficially we have numbers there but if you take out 1) Scott, who should be out on loan to play every week, 2) Johnson, who we already know is not good enough and 3) acknowledge most of our forwards are of the 'flexible across the front three' variety, we look really lacking.

And while I don't normally go in for the LSM Private Fraser impersonations, if we don't strengthen with a genuine number nine we'll be having a very, very grim season.
