    Gold memberships

Have people that bought one for this season got theirs yet? I was a silver member last year but that might as well have been card with a picture of my arse on for all the benefits I got out of buying it!

Just wondering as I've not received it yet and I'll be wanting to get tickets for home games in August with it.

Used to be a Gold Member but upgraded to ST last season. If this season is like last there will be no chance of getting an away ticket with a Gold and sometimes also not for a home game. Anyway not had ST yet either so I wouldn't worry, usually out last 10 days of July I'd think.

They've changed the criteria for getting tickets for ST holders and Gold members this year to make it more accessible. I live abroad so never get to go to away games anyway, just wanted it for home games more than anything for when I actually am back in the country, if I was around more I'd have got a ST

Historically, as a Season Ticket Holder, you have been able to purchase up to 3 additional seats per game. As a member, you could purchase up to 10 tickets earlier last Season which was then revised down to 4 tickets per membership later on in the season.
There used to be thousands of spare tickets per game, meaning this hadn’t previously been an issue. However, Leeds now have 22,000 Season Ticket holders along with 26,000 Members, who are all vying for tickets. The club told Leeds United Supporters Trust in April 2019 they recognised this to be an issue and that they needed to take action to enable as many paying members as possible the opportunity to attend games...........

The Supporters Trust discussed the frustration which Silver members had expressed, explaining how it could be argued that their membership is now essentially irrelevant. They also discussed how Season ticket holders and Platinum/Gold members who had been attending games with a family member or friend also feel let down by the change of policy so late into the Season. This was acknowledged, and the club told us they have tried to ensure that the maximum possible amount of members who gave a commitment to the club are able to attend, instead of people buying tickets to PASS on to NON-MEMBERS.

Also discussed was the option of beam backs situated in key places around the city, to enable as many fans to come together to see the game as possible, and though the club was unable to commit to this, they said that this something they could possibly look into.
And yes much more was discussed ................

So,Terms & Conditions........... for 2019/20 for those interested and as was stated The Square Ball team gave a good account of the situation.

Members who purchase additional home match tickets will be responsible for the conduct of those fans they have purchased tickets for. The member agrees that he/she will not under any circumstances, sell, loan, give or howsoever otherwise provide his/her Membership card to another individual (“the Borrower”). If the member breaches this clause he/she may have his/her Membership withdrawn. Further, the member shall be held responsible for the conduct of the Borrower as if the member himself/herself carried out the (mis)conduct of the Borrower at the relevant time. In this way the Member may have his/her Membership card confiscated and may be refused future entry to the stadium for a fixed period of time at the Club’s discretion.
Membership does NOT guarantee away tickets. Strictly ONE ticket per Member. After deducting the allocation of tickets for Away Season Ticket holders, 80% of the remaining tickets will be reserved for home Season Ticket Holders and 20% for Members. Any Members wishing to apply together must have the same Membership package. In the event that any tickets remain out of the Season Ticket Holder’s allocation, then these will be released to Gold Members at the start of their period along with the 20% Members allocation. Due to low-ticket allocations or fixtures where there is significant demand for tickets, for selected games it may be necessary to issue tickets via our away attendance tracker system. Tickets for these games will be allocated to those supporters who have attended the MOST away games irrespective of Membership package. (Away tickets are subject to availability).
*Membership does NOT guarantee home tickets. Members have a priority booking period for home games. The number of tickets a Member can purchase per home game will be decided on a match by match basis. Match tickets MAY be capped at one ticket per membership, therefore the Club strongly recommend that each individual supporter purchases a membership. Home tickets are subject to availability.
