You can’t awardvsomething for something that wasn’t given, surely.
There was a claim for a foul / penalty by Cosgrove, not given, then the Ross County boy passed to Considine as I saw it, but I’m happy to review the clips as opposed to my recollection from the game.



I’ll review and if McGinn got a toe toot then absolutely yes he gets the assist.

Having just watched the highlights McGinn definitely gets a toe to pass the ball to Considine so he should get an assist.

As for the 2 free kicks Cosgrove won both of them so going by your theory he should get 2 assists.

He won’t in the real world but going by your assist and goals thread he gets them.

It’s an interesting point, why shouldn’t the person fouled get the assist?
A player through on goal, in the box , about to pull the trigger but is fouled gets no recognition???

The precedent was set early doors in the season that the player fouled gets the assist.
Same with the faults thread for a player giving a penalty away (Ojo against Chikhura), he got the points for the foul, not Lewis for not saving it
