Me too, but one factor we may have missed. We’re assuming that Bruce is joining Newcastle because of the attraction of what the Newcastle job offers, however it could be he’s realised that being Wednesday’s manager isn’t what he thought it would be, that the club are in decline and the Newcastle job has given him a convenient out.

Or maybe the Owls have realised that he's not as good as they thought he'd be and are laughing all the way to the bank with 2M compensation?

Maybe, but Bruce resigned so arguable that SWFC will get very little compo.

According to one local media Chris Hughton has turned down an approach from Sheffield Wednesday.
Steve Agnew & Stephen Clemence, Bruce's assistants also resigned.
One bookies favourite is Gianfranco Zola.
Same media says compensation of £4M has been agreed.
All this could be paper talk to sell newspapers.

    Zola now 6/4 favourite.

8% win rate at Birmingham. Sounds like a perfect fit to me

    Please let it be Zola!

    They'll become Zolas' Sheffield Wednesday.

I've seen on twitter that some foreigner has flown in for talks with Ashley about taking over on a four year deal.

Obviously it could be bull shine but wouldn't it be bloody funny?
