They reckon he was pretty sharp in the trail training but he should never have been there in the first place.

Someone said Ian Wilson was a free agent although can't find any confirmation. He would be a excellent signing if true.

Season ticket purchased this morning. Can’t wait for our new league campaign to start. I wouldn’t miss watching players like Sir Stephen no matter what. Good chance this could be his last season so only a fool would miss out. When he goes you can all really have a reason to moan.

I was somewhat disheartened by the fact that the heads went down after losing our first goal, - and I would like to say that players should keep their counsel about the alleged culprits until the after-match post mortem, - and just get on with things. Last season, I felt that too often we were psychologically damaged by losing a goal and often never recovered. The whole point of football is scoring, - so it shouldn't really come as a surprise when the opposition manages to put one in the net!

That said, - our defending at Annan's first goal was woeful and of-course Paton gifted them their second goal. I wasn't a fan of Paton the first time round and I really thought he was not up to Annan's standard never mind the Championship.

Annan must be applauded for sticking in last night, - although to be fair they should have been blown away long before their first goal. Christian Nade showed he was no slouch, and when he came on he ripped through our defence on several occasions and set up the 3rd goal very nicely.

Another 3 or 4 players are most definitely required, - because we cannot be seen to be shipping goals to inferior opposition.

I would also like to add that many of the players faded badly last night, - and so fitness must be worked on. As a full time outfit, we should have finished the stronger side and I think that was disappointing for some fans.
Their first goal should not have stood. Holt was fouled to allow the guy he was marking to header towards the goal. I would say it was poor refereeing not poor defending.

I can't help but smile at those allegedly whinging about Queens not spending enough on players yet hold back on purchasing season ticket. Where do they think the financial resources come from, the magical money tree? For the record I got my ticket a couple of weeks ago so hopeful this cash can go on strengthening the squad for the coming season.

Good stuff Spike , I'm getting mine tomorrow. We can debate, disagree or agree but withholding money from Queens is not the way to go.

Fans are still bruised from last season. Can't really blame them too much if they choose not to bother yet especially after the first two opening games.

Good result on Saturday will hopefully restore some faith

Not really , however I know Dougal ( Francis) well and he is without a doubt a hard core fan no matter what way he comes across.

Eiight points maximum is what we can get and that's not enough to get through . I would use the chance to blood some of the youngsters just under the first 11. You never know , one of them could have a stormer and push himself right into contention for a first team place. Nothing to lose now as far as LC is concerned.
