We'd just beaten Hearts soundly in the final Sunday of the season in 2005, I think. I had a late afternoon gig in the Stag at Banchory, and had loaded the gear in the car, intent on travelling straight there.

As I trundled doon Skene Square, there were a dozen VicTims sitting ootside the Gilcomstoun Bar greeting as Scott McDonald had put paid to their title chances at Fir Park. Even though the manky filthy sister-shagging huns won it, it was a beautiful sight.

In Banchory, aye sleepy bourgeois Banchory, the Stag had shut after the bobbies were on the streets after both sides of the Glasgow detritus had had a pop at each other, and instead of playing on the second best stage in Kincardineshire, we had to play in the restaurant building next door.
