Yes I'm hoping to come up to Northumberland for a couple of weeks or so later in the year. That is if I can arrange time off.
That to me is exotic and far flung.
Where we all off?
I'm taking twenty 15 and 16 year olds away to the Lakes for a week (sort of Duke of Edinburgh-lite type course-anyone been to High Borrans?) so, naturally, it's absolutely pissing down. Then after a week back home I'm off to Keswick with the family...so expect it to piss down then as well.
Anyone doing something a little more far flung or exotic?

My family all li e in the lakes. I used to love cycling and walking the fells. Camping with buddies and Doe weekends getting hammered on the sly 👍🏻 found memories.
Im just wrapping up a 4 day city break to Istanbul to catch up with some friends who loved from Al Jazeera to TRT world. I always stay in Sisli great food brilliant area and the weather here 8s just amazing right now after 55+ in the desert.
Off to Beirut to see the missus family at some point in the next few weeks before we take a late summer break on the Maldives.
Only 4.5 hrs flight from Qatar which cost about £350 so gonna take the opportunity whilst its affordable global warming hasn't submerged the islands 😂
I'm having (well my wife is) child number 2.
So we will not be moving from Oxfordshire Might get to the beach during July for the day but that will be it.
here there and everywhere - a few days at the home of the bard stratford - a few days in newark meeting up with old comrades in arms - at least 2 trips this summer to newcastle and beyond - then once the kitchen remodelling is finished it looks lile a trip to florida for the second time this year
Now that's a good idea. Don't get much of the real brew down here. Last time I had the real stuff was with my youngest son and June in the Labour Club following Liverpool trouncing us 6-0.
As it happens my son supports them (maternal Grandad's influence) and I'll give him credit, not once did he smirk or gloat.
We're off to St. Ives a week on Thursday.
Hopefully take in a Truro City pre-season game, the Club I used to play for, and have a catch up with a few old pals in the bar. We're taking the Grandson, who's one this Friday, show him where his Grandad used to do his stuff.
Well since we bought a place in turkey and stuck a load of money in the bank out there @24 % interest we will be going on another free holiday
