    All justified!!!

We all have the fear, already!

Robbie just won’t learn from previous mistakes, is too stubborn to, or simply is out of his depth and doesn't have the ability to set up and manage our team effectively, to get the best out of the players individually, and collectively as a unit.
Most gave him the benefit of the doubt at the end of last season, because he inherited poor quality players from Csaba, and trying to pick up decent players in the January window was always going to be a challenge/gamble (most are available for good reason - they’re gash at their current clubs!)

However, he’s now had a close season, to get rid of who he needed to, sign who he wanted/needed to, and shape the team during pre-season to be challenging strongly for the league. These cup games should only have required minor tweaks, ready for the league to kick-off, but he’s still performing major surgery FFS!
In the past few games, it’s clear he doesn’t know his best team/formation, is still taking a negative/tentative approach (which is proving detrimental), looks like he doesn’t have the right personnel onboard (only 10 days from the season starting), and is still making all the same fundamental errors he did last year (i.e. when getting beat, simply swapping like for like when making subbies, rather than changing players/formation/tactics to get back into the game (Robson for Sporle last night at 54mins and 2-0 down a prime example)). He doesn’t have a “Plan B”, and I’ve yet to see him make changes mid-game that are pivotal, and directly affect the outcome of the game.

Patience is now wearing thin for a lot of fans, and rightly so in my opinion. Ray did the exact same thing, and feck knows what was going through Csaba’s mind. As Gunboat has said, makes you wonder if it’s a Largs influenced issue on young Scottish managers (perhaps the pundit across the road another example).

Robbie has now got a very short window of opportunity to sort this, or frustratingly, he’ll be joining the manager merry-go-round, but sacking him (if he doesn’t change his ways) would be fully justified, because of just that.
I really thought he’d be the man to turn things round (he done really well at Hearts), but thought the same with Ray to be honest, and it’s just so frustrating for the fans, who are sick to the back teeth, of watching dire football, with poor results, and ultimately, failure to win promotion. “Poorer” managers with less budgets, are showing us up, season after season.

What was your opinion on last night? Good? Bad?

If all was well in our tangerine world, then everyone would be on here complimenting the team. Threads would be short as all in the garden is rosy!

Naturally, if the team are as bad as they were last night, we have us doom merchants on here bumping oor gums and those of a more positive disposition, disagree with that and we keep bumping the thread along.

The positive ones dont do near enough to reinforce their position with statements that are usually far too short.

In my experience, once someone starts complaining about manger on here that's usually it. There is pretty much nothing the can change their mind about it. Rather worryingly, quite a few have turned already and only one thing can change minds, results (and even that's not enough for some).

Well results are certainly not strengthening his case so far Terry, and coupled with shocking performances, then it’s a recipe for disaster.

I’d certainly take results, over performances, but more often than not, good performances end in good results, so why I keep banging the drum about starting games with the right formation, attitude & tempo, straight from kick-off, and things will take care of themselves.

Quel surprise Rodney but I disagree.
If RN starts to deliver performances and results I don't think many will be complaining

Yeah but he'll always be one bad result away from a 'told you so' post...

2 camps setting up again, those for a manager and those against a manager (or coming round to that way of thinking).

If he is too stubborn or out of his depth, would it maybe be for the best to bring in an experienced director of football, similar in vein to how Neilson worked at Hearts with Levein as his mentor/go to guy for advice.
If so, who do you get?

im still optimistic towards the season too.

this feels like the first time since weve been down where we havent had wholesale changes going into the season. Of course we all want to see improvements on the performances and style of play but RN's results last season gives me enough hope that this could be the year (hope to god it is) the points he picked up last season was fairly impressive considering the players he had at his disposal then having to rebuild the team in the jan.

    keep the faith!
