Well, I got a response from the efl

See response about our plight below..... At least they responded, nothing from PFA or National League

    Hi Sam,

Thank you for your email, we note your comments in this regard.

Whilst we understand your concerns, the Club are no longer bound by EFL regulations, as they are a National League Club.

However, what we can confirm is that in respect of any club leaving the EFL and being relegated to the National League, they do receive parachute payments. This equates to a payment equal to the amount of a League 2 club’s basic award distribution in their first season post relegation and, should they not be re-promoted after that season, a further parachute payment of 50% of a League 2 club’s basic award distribution in their second season post relegation.

Thank you for contacting the EFL.

    Regards,

What would be useful to know is when were/are the parachute payments payable. Has the initial payment been used to prop the club up in recent times.

    Regards,
Totally ignoring the facts that the trouble started when Notts were and EFL club and in theory could be an EFL club again next year. Disgraceful response as we might have expected but well done for actually getting a response. Can i suggest you send it to Lilian Greenwood to use as ammunition.

I genuinely don't know what you thought the EFL could do for us?

As they rightly said, we do not play in the EFL, we play - sorry hope to play - in the National League. As a National League club the EFL have no responsibility for us whatsoever. The 157 years history is not a bargaining tool, it doesn't give NCFC any magical dispensation. If there is any rsponsibility it belongs to the National League.

Anyway, come off suicide watch, treat youself to a beer or two and maybe just maybe the Haydn Green Estate have pressurised Hardy to finally sell to the Danes ...
