    Could we qualify?

We still have a 50/50 chance of getting the fourth best runner up spot providing Hearts win at Methil.Only two of the eight groups are guaranteed to beat us already. Falkirk have 7 points and a goal difference of three to our two and they might not even qualify and either Morton or Queens will finish with more than 7 points. We need the scores to go something like this
Group A Hearts to beat East Fife
Group B Saints to beat Forfar
Group C Alloa to beat Arbroath by no more than 2goals
Group D ICT to beat Dundee
Group F Hamilton and Airdrie to draw the latter to win on pens
Group H Dunfermline to beat EK
We can even afford for one of these to fail and we would be fourth best runner up

Dundee will probably go out so don't worry about it.

This has been us for the past four years or so. Hope springs eternal in the face of absolute despair. It's like something we stood on in the street and can't shake it off.

Even if the miracle did happen, do we deserve it?

Hearts, St Johnstone & Dunfermline are safe bets.

    It’s the other 3.

There’s a small chance we could be relying on the Dundee game.

Although we should be sitting here giving it no thought at all

If we can't even score a goal at home against East Fife then I would say no, we don't deserve it.

We can never just take care of business by ourselves and always have to rely on results elsewhere when we fail to win. And how many times has that worked out in the last 4 years?

    ZERO.

If results do go our way and we get through then fine. But if not then we can have no complaints.
