EFL statement

Re Bolton. Surely the EFL have to abide by a EUFA ruling on that similar Scotland international game. ie The ruling body had not sanctioned the cancellation of the game, so Scotland were allowed to kick off, and ran down the other end and scored. The result was a 1-0 win to Scotland. EFL could get punished by EUFA if they don't make the same decision?... not that they seem remotely aware of that

'The EFL remains acutely aware of the ongoing risks this challenging and complex situation has to the integrity of the competition'
Well ferkin step in and bring this sham to an end! It reminds me when Man Utd told the FA they were not going to play in the FA Cup as they had plans to make more money playing abroad! No backbone from the FA then.
The piddling weak minded little EFL board daren't make examples of Bury and especially Bolton. They should all step down and let more authority minded people step in. It's the fans of both clubs I feel for, and not forgetting the players who signed legally binding contracts but have been left high and dry.
That latest EFL statement takes bullshyte to a whole new level.
In this ridiculous balls up, amazingly Bolton have the ability to **** over the EFL and every team in the division. Their sly cancellation of their game v Donny (and no doubt more to come) in a blatant attempt to put their season on hold while they get their **** together and sign a load of players is a big two fingers up to all concerned.
They know the EFL will not kick them out of the league, they know the EFL can't really give them a fine when they don't have a pot to piss in, and a further points deduction won't really affect them because because as things are, they're not going to avoid relegation and will already have one eye on starting the rebuilding process with a clean slate next season in L2.
To me this is pure cheating. Its not a hard up club with no fans struggling to pay its way, its a club that was awash with Premier league money for the best part of 20 years that has been mismanaged from the top and squandered its riches. And for the last three or four years has continued to squander money they no longer have, trying to chase the dream.
If Bury are kicked out, Bolton should go with them.
What Bolton have done, deciding to just cancel a game at short notice and with no consultation , is worse than Bury, who actually wanted their games to go ahead but the EFL wouldn't let them.
100% wrong and should definitely get point deductions seeing that a fine would be ridiculous but hey it’s EFL who also 100% need to be replaced
What kind of club does this, utter incompetence from them
Doncaster Rovers chief executive Gavin Baldwin has spoken following Bolton Wanderers’ announcement that they have postponed Tuesday’s Sky Bet League One fixture.
He said: “Bolton Wanderers have postponed this game without the agreement of Rovers or the EFL, and we were surprised to learn of the news via Bolton’s social media.
“We have a lot of sympathy for Bolton’s plight, but we’ve prepared for this game as normal and fully expected it to go ahead. We will work with the EFL to understand this situation and keep supporters as informed as we can when we are able to say more.”

I absolutely agree about a points deduction millertop, but considering they already have a decent one this season, so any more won't make any difference in my eyes, give them another points deduction starting from next season, with more to come if they decide they don't want to play any other game this season.
Ronners, that sounds more realistic. This season albiet still relatively new, is over for them unless they sign a team of Messi's.
- 12 points at the start of next season will definitely make them sit up and realise they will be one league away from dropping out of the football league.
Now for reality. The EFL will not let a club with the history of Nathaniel Lofthouse OBE go under. They will allow Bolton to riddle and squirm their way out of this. The fans are the ones who are suffering and not the useless waste of space board members, be it present or moreover the previous idiotic buffoons that allowed this to happen. You have to wonder just how many clubs are out there on a similar precarious footing.
Thank goodness for small mercies like the Stewart family. I don't think our Chairman had any idea he was letting himself in for when he took over. We would probably be where Chesterfield are now had our club not been prudently run like it is.
