    Gayle is proven at this level but would he fit into the mindset that Bielsa wants the team to have? I mean Jansson obviously didn't. I wouldn't mind us getting him.

    But I would be suprised if we sign anyone before the window closes.

    I'm starting to have cynical thoughts about our hierarchy. Sometimes I think they put too low a bid in just to have it rejected to appease us fans.

    If, we had anything like £15 + mill to spend, surely would be better on say two players , ST & CB - decent, champ experience. Missed out on some good players, all within our budget. We maybe have made a " tentative" enquiry, or after a not hugely impressive pre-season, has the penny ( no pun!) finally dropped.

    Not sure what to make of this. On one hand - if it's true - it definitely shows a bit of ambition and intent.
    On the other, if we have that kind of money we shouldn't be lumping it all on one player when we have more than one gap that needs filling.
