    Jeff Hendrick

After watching last night with Hendrick in his natural position, I was impressed albeit the opposition weren’t up to much, he broke things up retained possession , picked passes that resulted in 3 of our goals and of course scored one.
Maybe in his natural position he could do a job for us - just looked more at ease and a different player.
I felt for Barnes was desperate to score but it didn’t quite come off for him, Rodriguez on the other hand just looks like he will score goals timing his run late into the box to score .
Still think we need one or two players however your thoughts on Hendrick ?

There is a footballer in there somewhere, but SD seems to want him to "just do a job".

I don't dis like him Garlick , I've stuck up for him a time of two on here as I know how difficult it can be playing out of position.

Just thought he was very good last night, going on Saturday again against tougher opposition i think so I'll watch with interest if he starts.

If Hendrick was a good player Dyche would play him in his best position, he doesn't so in Dyche's eyes he's not good enough, but is seemingly O.K. to be placed in positions that most of the time make him our weak link, another Dyche enigma.

The problem with Hendrick is he his good enough to play in the EPL, but he's not better than Cork, Defour or Westwood, so SD plays him where he needs him. Fair play to the lad, he never kicks up a fuss, but just gets on with it.

Not that it matters in a football sense but he is one of the nicest guys you could wish to meet...

It matters to me Matelot, I like nice people, I'm more ready to overlook Hendrick cocking up knowing he's a nice guy, if he was a tw@t I'd be on his case much more quickly.

Played out of position on the wing or as a centre mid Hendrick is about average and does a job, play him in his favoured position where ROI play him as an attacking mid and he is a good player who will unlock defences and break up counter attacks before they start.
